How do you make your html page copywrighted so no one can copy the text on the site?

It has nothing to do with copyright - it is called copy protection. You do this by installing a script that disables right-clicking on your page. This does not, however, prevent people from highlighting text, then selecting Edit - Copy. It is generally agreed upon in web design that using scripts to disable right-clicking frustrates and alienates visitors who use the right click on their mouse button for other functions such as Add to Favorites, Print, and Open in New Window (for links).

The best way to protect your content is to register your site with an anti-plagiarism site such as copyscape, which searches for copies of your page on the web.

At the bottom of your web pages, you should put a statement such as this:

Contents, including images, property of [name of site]. Unauthorized dupication prohibited.
